Run by volunteers LTU are currently looking for intern’s who can add value and bring passion to our current team. The role will give vital experience to successful candidates creating opportunities to share your work and gain vital experience for future employment.

LicensedTransportUncovered.com (LTU) is an established campaign group and publication, providing real-time coverage of the taxi, private hire, minicab and chauffeur industry. LTU’s, unrivalled coverage of breaking news, in-depth analysis, and our exclusive investigations have led to the respect of the trade, their associations, government agencies and our partners.
We are currently undergoing expansion and this has led to internship positions opening. The intern’s primary role will to be identify and support LTU’s investigations unit and news department. Candidates must be able transfer their passion for journalism to be able to cover the transport industry.
Interns will have the opportunity to have their work published on LicensedTransportUncovered.com, giving you a platform to show your work. Our readers are predominantly UK-based, but we expect LTU to attract global coverage as we enter 2017, with the possibility of having their work syndicated by the national press and media.
Due to the high-profile cases we undertake an internship at LTU enables you to not only create a credible body of published works for any future employer’s, but also to help bring change for the wider passenger transport industry and protect consumers.
You need drive, ambition, commitment and be proactive and responsive to last minute changes. This is a role for self motivated individuals able to work remotely (from home), with a seven week placement at Chester. Interns must have an understanding of court reporting and be able to work fast paced, demanding and ultimately extremely rewarding process.
If you have a passion for journalism and exposing the truth and not just covering the news, but creating it you’ll find an internship at LTU addictive and hugely enjoyable.
- You must be able to provide accurate court reporting transcripts whilst under pressure
- Intern’s should have completed or be in the process of a degree in media, journalism or related.
- Have a knowledge of and interest in consumer rights, transport and business journalism
- Have an ability to work under deadline in a busy news environment and prioritise tasks appropriately – Be available for a three month internship
- High standard of written English
This is an unpaid position, but any published work that is syndicated where a fee is paid will be negotiable. Reasonable expenses will be provided to cover travel .
